Curitiba holds for the sixth time one more edition of sediInternational Film Festival for the Animals. Films from 10 different countries, among them the documentary 'Cowspiracy' (USA), 'Inside Fur (Pels)' (Norway), 'Live and Let Live' (Germany), 'Life According to Ohaf' (Israel), 'Speciesism' (USA), 'At the Edge of the World' (USA), 'O Mundo Animal de Bibi' (Brazil), 'Por Eles' (Brazil) and many others will be part of this edition that promises to thrill and transform the way which we view our relationship with the other animals.

Besides, Juliana Camargo (Ampara Animal), of 'O Mundo Animal de Bibi', Guiga Pirá, a Sea Shepherd activist, Lucas Alvarenga, Brazilian representative of Mercy For Animals and Shirlei Fraguas, director and film producer of 'Por Eles', will also be present for a casual chat with the public throughout the event.

And the much-anticipated moment for directors and producers will be left to Sunday, when three of the scheduling films will be honored with the 'Oscow', the event's symbolic statuette, which will be handed to the productions indicated by both audience and the event organisers.

Fair

For the first time, the Mostra Animal will hold a grand Vegan Fair, with the food, cosmetics and clothing sale from 18 exhibitors, beyond the dissemination of the work of many diverse organizations related to the animal cause.

The International Film Festival for the Animals

Launched in 2009 in Curitiba (PR), the International Film Festival for the Animals is one of the largest film events in the world, aimed at discussing respect for animals, and publicising film productions that debate this topic. In addition to Curitiba, several cities in Brazil have already held partner editions.
