International Film Festival for the Animals

Registration for the 8th edition of the event, which will take place in Curitiba, is open until April 30

The biggest movie event in Brazil for animals is back. After a short break, the event returns in july 2022 to bring to those who appreciate the seventh art productions of different formats, languages and countries on the animal cause. Films such as Cowspiracy, by Kip Andersen, A Galinha que Burlou o Sistema, by Kiko Meireles and the mighty Earthlings, which features the voice of Joaquin Phoenix, have already gone through the various editions of the event that, in 2022, will once again be released in Curitiba, Paraná.

Professionals or beginners in Directing or Production of short, medium or feature films, with themes related to animal rights or about the relationships of human beings with other animals, can submit their works through the website until April 30.

About the International Film Festival for Animals

Organized by the Brazilian Vegetarian Society, the event was launched in 2009, in the city of Curitiba, and aims to create a debate on animal rights and the socio-environmental impacts that the interaction of humans with other animals can bring.

The films are shown to the general public free of charge, and previous editions brought together renowned artists, environmentalists, activists, authorities, writers and, above all, admirers and defenders of animals.
