One Last Ride: The U.S. - Canada Horse Meat Pipeline

This documentary explores the U.S. - Canada horse meat pipeline. Canada provides a controversial market for American ranchers who want to offload old, injured and unwanted horses.
Because the U.S. shut down horse slaughter in 2007, without first banning the live export of meat horses, additional U.S. horses now endure greater stress than they did when some were once slaughtered in America. Long international transport hauls are now a requirement for processing all American horses for meat. And according to previously released access-to-information documents, horses sometimes enter Canada dead on arrival.
It is important to tell this story now because Chris Heyde, a horse advocate, is working to pass a new bill called the SAFE Act. It would prevent the exports of live American horses to Canada and Mexico for meat purposes.

In this adventure he will meet Griffin, a yellow butterfly fish, who lives in the reefs near where Lui is normally living. The two of them will become inseparable, and from the moment they met, one always moved side by side with the other. Everything was going great in the sea, until one day a boat of poachers arrived in the area where Lui was, and since that moment, their life took a 360° turn. After that event, different things happened that resulted in the fact that the only thing that remained of Lui was his shell, which later became an object that many people use in their daily lives.

1.1 APOIO AO EVENTO

Colaboração para ajuda com os custos de organização do evento. As contrapartidas ao apoio são a inclusão do logo da marca como apoiadora no site do evento, o direito a um espaço na feira vegana e a divulgação como participante da feira.

 

2. ESPAÇO PARA EXPOSIÇÃO

O saguão da Cinemateca que será utilizado para a exposição é coberto e será disponibilizado 12 espaços por dia. Sendo 6 destes em 3 mesas grandes de madeira (1,4m x 0,80 m) compartilhadas, a qual o expositor pode escolher 2 espaços no momento de inscrição para utilizar a mesa inteira. E 6 espaços em mesas simples de plástico (0,80x0,80 m) individuais. É permitido o uso de até 1 mobiliário extra (arara ou mesa auxiliar de no máximo 0,80x0,80m). Todos espaços contarão com no mínimo 1 cadeira.

 

3. HORÁRIOS DE ORGANIZAÇÃO

Montagem: 12:30 - 13:30

Desmontagem: 20:30 - 21:30

OBS.: Aos que participarem da feira nos 2 dias terão que realizar a montagem e desmontagem nos 2 dias.

 

4. TOMADAS (PONTOS DE ENERGIA)

O saguão possui 2 pontos de energia que poderão ser utilizados pela feira, sendo os mesmo devem levar adaptadores de dois furos para prevenir plugs incompatíveis e suas extensões para utilizarem.

OBS.: A Organização não se responsabiliza por eventuais danos a qualquer tipo de aparelho elétrico trazido pelas pessoas expositoras.

 

5. DIVULGAÇÃO

A feira será divulgada juntamente as comunicações da Mostra Animal através de Banners, Cartazes (em restaurantes veganos), Folders (locais veganos), Redes Sociais e Impulsionamento.

 

6. VENDAS E COMERCIALIZAÇÃO DE PRODUTOS E SERVIÇOS

Será permitida somente a venda de itens veganos, ou seja, produtos não testados em animais e sem ingredientes de origem animal, como seda, lã, penas, couro, entre outros. Os itens podem ser doces, bebidas, vestuário, acessórios, decorações, artesanato, cosméticos e lanches (atentar-se aos alimentos que podem ter baixo volume de vendas, pois durante o evento poderá ter degustação de alimentos veganos).

 

7. ESCOLHA DOS ESPAÇOS

Os espaços serão reservados mediante inscrição.

Após a curadoria e confirmação da inscrição, será encaminhado o mapa do saguão para que o expositor escolha sua vaga.
